About the artist

Cansu Aybar studied Stage and Costume Design at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts. Starting from 1991, she worked as a freelance artist within the field of indoor decoration and creative wall-painting, both in Turkey and internationally. She designed costumes for several TV commercials, short movies and stage arts performances. Her cartoons were published in Superonline internet news, Yenibinyil newspaper and She magazine.

She moved to New York in 2000, where she designed creative wall-paintings, outfit and jeans for stores like Institut, Buda and Turquachino.

Cansu  lives in Istanbul since 2001. She is with Kop-Art since the beginning of the project as an outfit and visual media designer and continues to make make music as a part of electro-trash music band Bang!. She also collaborates with Istanbul based underground electronic music collective Osman Productions as a DJ and artist.
