About the artist
She was born in Istanbul in 1968. She graduated from the Latin Language and Literature Department of Istanbul University Department of Letters. She received her master’s degree from the same department after completing her thesis on Latin theater with the title “Polemic elements in Terentius’s prologi”. She began her writing career in 1990 as a police reporter. Then she worked for the Human Rights Department. She also worked for Tempo, one of the important weekly magazines in Turkey. In 1993, she was awarded an honorable mention in the “News” branch in the contest organized by the “Turkish Association of Journalists”.
She wrote the script of the television documentary Haberci as well as essays for the monthly Öküz magazine. Her articles, essays and interviews were published in various magazines and newspapers.
