On detective fiction novels at MaviKum

MaviKum bookshop hosts a talk called ‘On Detective Fiction Novels’ with researcher-writer Erol Üyepazarcı, author of the book ‘Do Not Be Afraid Mr. Sherlock Holmes!’

Erol Üyepazarcı, the only author up to now who has done a detailed research on detective fiction novels in retrospective from Ottoman times until today and has written  ‘Do Not Be Afraid Mr. Sherlock Holmes!’ at the end of his research, is the guest of the talk held at MaviKum bookshop.  Erol Üyepazarcı has compiled the history of detective fiction novels since Ottoman times in two volumes, composed of a thousand and two hundred pages in his work.  He will be talking about the interest of II.Aldülhamid in detective books, Kemal Tahir’s translation of Mike Hammer (Mayk Hammer) and Meş’um Yakut, a detective fiction by Necip Fazıl Kısakürek.
