İstanbul Modern Cinema in collaboration with Mimar Sinan Cinema-TV Centre presents a selection of social realist films of 60’s.
In the programme, presented with the title “Good Day, Turkey!” on 7 - 14 May 2009, 6 social realist films of 60’s and 70’s when Turkish cinema had its golden times, will be shown.
İstanbul Modern Cinema presents the programme of “Good Day, Turkey!” as: “The stories will take the audience to a nostalgic journey through old times and space, where to witness a proud İstanbul, miserable peasants, and to listen to oldies-goodies and find an odd comfort that can be only found in those Turkish films.”
The directors and the actors such as Halit Refiğ, Duygu Sağıroğlu, Selma Güneri, Göksel Arsoy, Ertem Göreç and Nilüfer Aydan will be the guests of the programme titled “Good Day, Türkiye!”.
