Roxy
About the place
It is an exuberant music club where live performances and conceptual nights meet with the audience since its establishment in 1994.
Roxy, organizing Roxy Music Days to introduce the young talents of music to music industry, also supports young artists of different media like; performance, video, dance, cabaret and more, by organizing “Cultura Nights”. Roxy welcomed the kings of Jazz, Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Miller, Jashua Redman and many more as being the official venue for İstanbul Jazz Festival for a long time and Richard Dorfmeister, MJ Cole, Wibutee, Beady Belle, Malia, N.O.H.A (Noise of Human Art) and many others within the scope of “High Jazz Nights”, as exclusive Scandinavian Jazz nights organized by the club.
Roxy also opens its doors for performances and talks. Forming “Roxy Activity Platform” where the presentation of art works and talks on art can take place, it aims to meet the intentions and activities of art with its audience. The platform aims to be the representative of an alternative attitude of “Opposing”, to create a common space for the artists and the curators and maintain a site where video art, photography, sculpture exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops and seminars can take place.
The club is closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays but the rest of the week and weekend we are open from 22:00 to 04:00.
